Everyone has either a sweet tooth or a salt tooth. Regardless of which you prefer, or maybe you love both equally, we have sweets and snacks to curb any craving you might run into.
We have an enormous selection of delicious sweet items including many types of cookies and candy, perfect for stocking an Italian kitchen well! Theresa’s Anise Pizzelles (backed fresh and locally in McKees Rocks) are one of our customers’ favorites. These sweet and crunchy cookies, delicately flavored with anise are constantly in demand. Some other cookie and cookie-like items that we stock are Balocco cream wafers (flavors: milk, hazelnut and cocoa), Ringo chocolate and vanilla cookies, Cantuccini Alla Mandorla (Florentine Almond Cookies) and many types of biscotti. For those who prefer candy, we have Jordan almonds with a light candy coating, famously served at Italian weddings, and Italian hard candies.
Our savory and salty snack section features some customer favorites such as roasted and salted fava beans and salted chickpeas. For those who like a bit of a spicy kick to get them going, try the wasabi crunchy snack peas. Just be careful to not eat too many at once or your eyes will water!
