$9.49 Alphonso Olives Alphonso Olives are a huge, deep-purple olive from Chile with soft, meaty flesh and a slightly bitter, sour taste. Here at Pennsylvania Macaroni Co. we cure them in red wine! Our Alphonso Olives are sold in one pound increments and vacuumed sealed to insure freshness when shipping. No need to worry, Olives can be shipped ground because they do not require ice. The fruit of the olive tree is available in more that 75 varieties. Olives either come pitted or unpitted, Alphonso Olives come with a pit but the pit can be removed easily by gently crushing the long side of the olive with the heal of your hand, then pull out the pit. Alphonso Olives are a delicious addition to a wonderful antipasto plate.
