Typically, the horseradish flavor of this cheese is not at all overpowering and quite complimentary to the always-accepting Monterey Jack style. This artisan horseradish cheese comes to us from an Amish cooperative dairy farming operation in Northeast Ohio. These farmers boast a long, proud tradition of making quality, natural cheeses. Hormone-therapy free cows feed on a natural 100% grass diet and produce great milk; the Amish turn it into a wonderfully wholesome cheese free of artificial preservatives. Recommended as an excellent hors d'oeuvre with wheat crackers; can also serve as the key ingredient to a great spread or dip.
