The family owned Mezzetta company uses Spanish-style olives that have been imported from the Mediterranean region. Once the olives reach Napa Valley, California, they are hand stuffed with a jalapeño strip. Mezzetta gets their jalapeños from local farms. Most of the time, the jalapeños are packed within twenty-four hours of harvest! This quick packaging process allows the jalapeños to retain their heat and flavor. And of course, all of the olives and peppers are personally inspected by the plant manager to ensure their high standards of quality. These jalapeño stuffed olives have so many great uses. For a unique snack, roll the olives into meatballs, giving you a spicy surprise. Serve this treat with your favorite sauce. Chop or dice up these olives and add them to dips, salsas and guacamoles.
