The rice has a warm burgundy color and a distinct nutty quality. This rice falls into the catagory of brown rices, with the bran still intact. Therefore, this is not a quick cooking rice. It will take sixty minutes to cook fully. Use a broth or fume to impart additional flavor. Suggested Use: Pilaf, steamed, salads and stuffings are great uses for this healthy rice.
